Sanremo: the city of sports |
|
Many important sports events are held in Sanremo all year round. Thanks to its mild climate, fame and first-class sports facilities, Sanremo has hosted important sailing, golf, cycling, mountain bike and horse-riding events over the years. Sanremo’s hallmark is confirmed by its rich programme of events which is spread over the entire year and invites visitors to stop and stay for a few days to get to know Sanremo better.

Cribs in the old town of Pigna - from 12th to 19th December |

The event consists in an exhibition route through the old town of Pigna. Starting from the cribs of the Basilica di San Siro, the Parish of San Giuseppe and the Santuario della Madonna della Costa, the route then leads to the cribs created by the artist De Gregori in the Oratory of Piazza dei Dolori and by the artist Ivana Bailo in Via Romolo Moreno. The exhibition ends with the cribs built by the primary and secondary schoolchildren taking part in the First Competition “COSTRUIAMO UN PRESEPE” (Let’s build a crib) and situated along the Romolo Moreno and Rivolte San Sebastiano streets.

GUIDED TOURS: THE CASINO AND VILLA NOBEL |

On the occasion of the Spring Festival, the Cooperative “STRADE-Liguria da Scoprire” will promote guided tours of two versatile buildings: the Casino and Villa Nobel. The guided tours of the Casino will be held every Saturday from 2nd January to 29th May starting at 9.30 a.m. in front of the Theatre door. The guided tours of Villa Nobel will start at 3.30 p.m. outside the Villa entrance . They will be held on 2nd January and then every second and fourth Saturday of January, February and March. The last tour is scheduled for 24th April. Each tour costs 3 Euros. Free entrance for children under 12 years of age. Reservation is not needed.
